At C uS Dance Summer Experience, we cover a broad range of topics and styles in a single week in order to provide each child with the maximum opportunity to explore their own creativity and dance expression. The intimate class sizes and experienced teachers allow for the opportunity for the dancers to drive their creativity to new levels!
Ballet introduces students to creative body expression using ballet technique. Our quality teachers will instruct your child on proper ballet positions while making it fun and exciting. Ballet classes are introductory level-based which allows your child to build a strong foundation for the other dance styles.
Creative Dance & Lyrical explores body movements and promoting body-space awareness while learning creative ways to move around the room. Your child will learn how to interpret music and associate their movements accordingly. Creative Dance and Lyrical is an exploration in movement, with music that is child-centered. They facilitate your child’s own creativity and expression in new and unique ways.
Jazz, Tap, & Hip Hop combines music and movement into a fun experience. These styles use a faster tempo and allow the students to learn technique while having fun! No tap shoes? No worries! Your child will still learn rhythm and beat wearing runners! With our specialized teachers, your child will be able to learn how to shuffle and fallap with ease! Jazz allows for your child to connect their favourite songs with dance moves and learn technique at the same time.
Drama & Music
Teachers will further explore the concepts instructed in dance class and connect them to the art of theatre. This will provide your dancer with another opportunity to explore body-spatial awareness while channeling their inner-actor! Drama and Music are two critical elements of dance that add to the element of fun! A broad range of genres, styles, and artists will be a part of your child’s everyday experiences.
Crafts Using the themes explored in dance class, your child will create tools to use within their classes to further expand their knowledge and create a fun experience. Together as a group we will create tools we need to further explore drama, presentation, and technique. A simple prop can make a dramatic difference in your child’s ability to perform and connect to the music!
